Integral Active Steering includes rear wheel steering that turns in coordination with the front steering. When the front wheels are steered into a turn, the rear wheels slightly pivot in opposite phase (opposite direction of the front wheels) at lower vehicle speeds or same phase (same direction of the front wheels) at higher vehicle speeds. The opposite phase motion enables the vehicle to make tighter turns than it otherwise could, while the same phase motion enhances the vehicle's high speed stability. The amount of rear wheel steer varies, based on the angle the front wheels are steered.

Infrared camera that monitors a range that can reach 1000 feet ahead. The camera detects objects within its range and sends images of these objects to the display screen located in the center of the dashboard. At about 330 feet ahead, this system can estimate whether an animal or pedestrian is approaching the road ahead and provide the driver with a visual warning in the display screen.
