Servotronic Power steering with Active Steering. Active Steering changes the steering ratio (amount of steering wheel rotation required to turn a given corner) when vehicle speed changes. During low speed maneuvering (such as parking), the front wheels turn sharply with relatively little steering wheel rotation, compared to the steering rotation required during high speed maneuvers (such as lane changes at highway speeds). This feature can also maintain the vehicle's directional stability by automatically adjusting the angle of the front wheels to keep the vehicle on the path intended by the driver during such circumstances as when braking on a surface with uneven traction.
